Agencies under the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition have presented their strategic roadmaps to the Ministry of Finance as part of efforts to align government priorities and accelerate reforms across Ghana’s energy sector.
The engagement, led by the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, brought together key institutions within the petroleum, electricity and renewable energy sub-sectors to outline ongoing programmes and future plans.
In a statement shared on Facebook on June 30, Dr. Jinapor explained that the meeting aimed to promote a coordinated approach to addressing challenges in the energy sector while improving efficiency in implementation.
According to him, each agency presented its strategic roadmap, highlighting key priorities and identifying areas where additional government support is required to speed up delivery of projects and reforms.
The Minister noted that the discussions form part of government’s broader agenda under President John Dramani Mahama to reset the energy sector through stronger institutional coordination, targeted investments and effective planning.
He added that the strengthened collaboration between the Ministries of Energy and Finance is expected to improve energy infrastructure, expand electricity access, support renewable energy development and deliver long-term benefits to households and businesses across the country.
