The management of Accra Hearts of Oak has secured temporary access to the University of Ghana Stadium for its Matchday 1 and Matchday 3 fixtures as part of the ongoing Ghana Premier League(GPL).
The club said the arrangement has become necessary following the unavailability of the Accra Sports Stadium, which is being prepared to host the Black Stars’ September 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against The Gambia.
Hearts of Oak said the temporary use of the University of Ghana Stadium will enable the club to honour its opening fixtures while preparations are underway at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The club expressed appreciation to its supporters for their understanding and continued support as it makes alternative arrangements for its home matches.
The Phobians are expected to return to the Accra Sports Stadium once the facility becomes available for football activities.
