Fuel prices in Ghana have recorded mixed adjustments for the first pricing window of May, with petrol and diesel seeing slight reductions while LPG prices surge.
Petrol’s minimum price has dipped marginally to GH¢13.25 per litre, while diesel has dropped more significantly to GH¢14.30 per litre. In contrast, LPG has risen sharply to GH¢13.02 per kilogram.
The decline in petrol and diesel prices is largely due to a temporary government intervention introduced in April to cushion consumers amid rising global fuel costs.
The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) says all Oil Marketing Companies must comply with the approved price floors, although final pump prices may vary due to additional industry margins.
