Ghana’s online passport application portal has been restored after a technical disruption that left applicants unable to access the platform.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the restoration in an update, confirming that the technical issues had been resolved through the joint efforts of its technical team and the National Signals Bureau (NSB).
“As an update, the Ministry is pleased to inform the public that our website, passport.mfa.gov.gh, is back up and running.”
The Ministry added: “Our technical team and the National Signals Bureau have resolved the technical issues.”
Applicants can now log onto the portal to access passport application services. The Ministry also thanked the public for its patience and understanding during the disruptionThe portal was reported to be temporarily unavailable on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, with the Ministry informing applicants that they were experiencing difficulties accessing the website. At the time, the Ministry said its technical team was working with the NSB to resolve the problem but did not disclose the specific nature of the technical fault or indicate when the platform would be restored.
The portal is now accessible, allowing applicants to resume their online passport-related activities.
