The Head of Puma Energy Africa, Mr. Ben Ouattara, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, to discuss developments in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector and opportunities for continued collaboration.
Mr. Ouattara, who is currently on a working visit to Ghana, expressed appreciation to the NPA for the support and cooperation extended to Puma Energy over the years, noting that the regulator’s partnership has contributed significantly to the company’s growth and success in the country.
He commended the Authority for creating a stable regulatory environment that has enabled private sector players in the petroleum industry to operate efficiently and expand their investments.
Responding, Mr. Tameklo reiterated government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and contribute meaningfully to national development.
According to the NPA Chief Executive, President John Dramani Mahama’s vision is to position the private sector as the engine of economic growth, with government institutions expected to support businesses through sound policies and effective regulation.
Mr. Tameklo said the Authority remains committed to advancing this vision by ensuring a conducive and transparent operating environment for companies within the downstream petroleum industry.
He added that the NPA will continue to work closely with industry players to promote investment, enhance competition and ensure the long-term sustainability of Ghana’s petroleum sector.
