Organisers of the Ghana International Petroleum Conference (GhIPCon) 2026 have unveiled a lineup of leading policymakers and industry experts who will speak at this year’s conference, describing the event as a platform for shaping policy and advancing Ghana’s petroleum industry.
Among the keynote speakers is the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor, who is expected to share insights on Ghana’s energy transition agenda, sustainable development and the future of the country’s energy sector.
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Tameklo, will also address participants on developments in the downstream petroleum industry, focusing on regulatory reforms, stakeholder engagement and efforts to strengthen the sector’s legal and institutional framework.
Also scheduled to speak is the Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD), Dr. Patrick Kwaku Ofori, who is expected to discuss fuel supply security, operational efficiency and the role of research-driven policies in strengthening Ghana’s petroleum value chain.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC), Dr. Riverson Oppong, will deliver presentations on developments in Ghana’s petroleum retail and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) markets, highlighting initiatives to improve safety, compliance and professionalism across the industry.
According to the NPA, the organisers, GhIPCon 2026 will bring together policymakers, regulators, industry leaders and other stakeholders to deliberate on key issues affecting Ghana’s petroleum sector and generate recommendations to support policy formulation and industry growth.
The NPA noted that discussions at the conference are intended to go beyond dialogue by contributing practical solutions that promote innovation, strengthen regulation and advance the sustainable development of Ghana’s petroleum industry.
