The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) together with the bereaved family hav received the remains of its late Deputy Chief Executive, Dr. Dramani Bukari, at the Accra International Airport ahead of his burial in the Savannah Region.
The remains were received on Wednesday evening by the Sector Minister, Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor; the Chief Executive of the NPA, Godwin Tameklo, leadership and staff of the Authority, family representatives and other distinguished individuals.
The solemn reception marked another poignant moment for the NPA and the bereaved family as they continue to mourn the passing of the Deputy Chief Executive.
The NPA described the death of Dr. Bukari as a deeply painful loss to the Authority, saying his humility, dedication and cherished presence would be profoundly missed.
“For us at the National Petroleum Authority, this is a loss so painful to bear.
It is a teeth-gnashing grief that may take forever to heal,” the Authority said in a tribute to the late Deputy Chief Executive.
The NPA further described Dr. Bukari as “a man so humble and a life so cherished and irreplaceable,” adding that he had now returned to his Maker.
The burial service for Dr. Bukari will continue in Damongo in the Savannah Region on today Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
The NPA has extended its condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues and all who were touched by the life and service of the late Deputy Chief Executive.
“Rest on, Sir,” the Authority said in its final tribute.
