A solemn funeral service has been held in Maamobi for Ghana’s late Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, H.E. Alhaji Saani Jajah, with tributes paid to his life of dedicated service to the country.

President John Dramani Mahama, the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Dr Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa and other dignitaries joined the bereaved family and mourners to honour the late diplomat.

In tributes, Alhaji Saani Jajah was remembered as a man of extraordinary kindness, integrity, dedication and patriotism who devoted himself to serving Ghana and supporting those around him.

His contributions to Ghana’s diplomatic service and his commitment to the country were highlighted as mourners reflected on his legacy and the impact he had on the lives of many people.

The family and government also expressed appreciation to the Government of Saudi Arabia for granting special dispensation for the late diplomat to be buried at the historic and sacred Al-Baqi Cemetery in Medina.

The gesture was described as a significant honour and a reflection of the respect accorded to Alhaji Saani Jajah.

As family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers continue to mourn his passing, prayers have been offered for strength and comfort for his loved ones.

May his memory remain a blessing, and may Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus
