The Parliament of Ghana has hosted the First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Namibia in an engagement aimed at strengthening ties between the two legislative institutions and promoting greater parliamentary cooperation.
The visit provided an opportunity for lawmakers from both countries to exchange ideas, share experiences and reaffirm their commitment to advancing democratic governance, unity and collaboration among African nations.
As part of the engagement, Ghanaian legislators welcomed the Namibian delegation and presented the First Deputy Speaker with Ghana’s traditional fugu attire as a symbol of the country’s rich cultural heritage, identity and hospitality.
The gesture highlighted the longstanding friendship and mutual respect between Ghana and Namibia, while reinforcing the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening relations between the two nations.
The engagement also focused on the role of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting cooperation, knowledge sharing and the development of partnerships that serve the interests of citizens across Africa.
