The Ghana Police Service has arrested two additional suspects in connection with the 2024 Adabraka jewellery robbery, bringing the number of suspects arrested so far to three, with others still at large.
Inspector-General of Police, Christian Yohunu, disclosed this at the opening of the 2025 Wassa Regional Police Conference, describing the arrests as the result of sustained intelligence-led operations.
The two suspects were picked up during a dawn operation in Ashaiman on Thursday, where police also retrieved a cache of firearms, ammunition and other exhibits believed to have been used in the robbery.
The Adabraka incident, which occurred on November 2, 2024, shocked residents after a gang of masked men carried out a brazen daytime attack near the market area.
The robbers fired several shots to create panic, forced their way into a vehicle parked near a jewellery shop and made away with large sums of money before fleeing.
According to the IGP, investigations remain active as police work to track down the remaining members of the gang.
He assured the public that the service is intensifying operations to dismantle criminal networks involved in armed robbery.
Residents of Adabraka have renewed calls for enhanced security patrols in the area, as police reiterate their commitment to ensuring public safety and bringing all suspects to justice.
