According to Dr Abdul-Hamid, the discussions were candid and focused on the need to unite, rebuild and strengthen the party’s structures at all levels ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Dr Abdul-Hamid expressed appreciation to the leadership and rank and file of the party in the Eastern Region for what he described as their confidence in his vision and commitment to serve as National First Vice Chairman.
He also thanked the party executives and grassroots supporters for their hospitality and their commitment to the collective interests of the NPP.
The aspirant said his engagement with the Eastern Region formed part of his broader efforts to listen to party members, build consensus and mobilise support for the restructuring and strengthening of the NPP ahead of the 2028 elections.
He expressed confidence that greater unity and stronger grassroots organisation would be critical to the party’s efforts to regain power.
