The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Muntaka-Mubarak, has called on Ghanaians to actively participate in a nationwide clean-up exercise aimed at restoring communities affected by recent flooding and improving environmental sanitation across the country.
The two-day National General Cleaning Exercise, scheduled as part of government’s post-flood response efforts, will be held under the theme, “Our Actions, Our Future: Cleaning Ghana after the Floods.”
According to the Minister, the exercise forms part of a broader national effort to clear refuse, desilt drains, remove debris and reduce public health risks associated with flooding and poor sanitation.
He urged citizens, community groups, institutions and local authorities to support the initiative by participating fully in activities organised within their respective communities.
Mr. Muntaka-Mubarak emphasised that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility and called on Ghanaians to seize the opportunity to contribute to building safer, healthier and more resilient communities.
“Let us come together, take action, and play our part in building a cleaner and healthier Ghana,” he urged.
