The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced plans to expand its operations with the opening of 20 new offices across the country as part of efforts to improve access to its services.
The Authority said the expansion is aimed at bringing vehicle registration, licensing and related services closer to the public and enhancing efficiency in service delivery.
According to the DVLA, sod-cutting ceremonies will soon be held for the construction of five additional offices in selected locations, including Bechem, Dormaa, Hohoe and an ultra-modern centre at Gomoa Denkyira, an initiative supported by Captain Smart.
The Authority also announced plans to embark on public education programmes in districts across the country on the introduction of new vehicle number plates.
The educational campaign, which will precede a pilot phase scheduled to begin in August 2026, is expected to sensitise vehicle owners and the general public on the new number plate system and its implementation.
The DVLA urged the public to cooperate with the Authority as it continues efforts to modernise its operations, expand its reach and improve customer service delivery nationwide.
