BOSTenergies has paid GH¢34.2 million in dividends to the Government of Ghana, marking the first dividend payment in the company’s history following a strong financial performance in 2025.
The dividend represents 5 percent of the company’s profit after tax for the 2025 financial year and signals a shift from strengthening its financial position to delivering direct returns to the government as its shareholder.
Board Chairman of BOSTenergies, Prof Saint Kuttu, described the dividend as a major milestone for the company, saying it demonstrates the progress made through disciplined management and responsible oversight.
The company’s financial results show that revenue increased from GH¢1.29 billion in 2024 to GH¢3.81 billion in 2025, representing approximately 195 percent growth.
Profit after tax also rose by 72 percent, from GH¢398.40 million to GH¢683.96 million over the same period.
BOSTenergies’ financial position strengthened significantly during the year, with total equity more than doubling from GH¢677.20 million in 2024 to GH¢1.47 billion in 2025.
Total assets also increased by 50 percent, from GH¢2.654 billion to GH¢3.989 billion.
Prof Kuttu said the performance showed that the company had moved beyond simply maintaining its operations to expanding its business, increasing profitability and creating value for its shareholder.
The Board Chairman said the company’s strategic focus for 2026 would shift from stabilisation to expansion and diversification.
He said the strategy would prioritise improved utilisation of BOSTenergies’ infrastructure, expansion of its customer base, stronger regional trade and commercially viable partnerships.
The company also intends to explore opportunities beyond its traditional petroleum storage and transportation activities.
Professor Kuttu stressed that the company would pursue growth supported by sound business cases, clear market opportunities and acceptable levels of risk, with profitability and sustainability remaining central to its expansion plans.
He also said operational reliability would remain a priority, with the company continuing efforts to improve storage capacity utilisation, strengthen pipeline integrity, modernise depot operations and enhance the efficiency of petroleum-product transportation.
He described 2025 as a year of resilience, stability and renewed financial strength, saying the results had provided BOSTenergies with a stronger foundation to pursue its expansion agenda in 2026.
