Defence Ministry has rejected reports alleging that military lands have been handed over to the President’s brother, describing the claims as false.
Deputy Defence Minister Brogya Gyamfi, in a statement noted, “I wish to firmly dismiss and ignore any false and malicious reports… That story is completely untrue.”
He explained that the development in question is a Ghana Armed Forces self-help housing project aimed at replacing aging infrastructure at Burma Camp in Accra.
As part of the initiative, Ibrahim Mahama, CEO of Dzata Group Holding Limited, has contributed GH¢120 million to support construction.
“In support of this noble initiative… has generously donated GHC120 million for 10 blocks of 16 units each,” he noted.
The project was launched during a fundraising event at the Ghana Military Academy, attended by corporate stakeholders and partners of the Armed Forces.
The Deputy Minister said the contribution will significantly improve accommodation for military personnel.
