The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has engaged EV House, a subsidiary of Accra EV, to explore opportunities for advancing electric mobility and promoting green investment in Ghana.
The engagement focused on strategies to accelerate the adoption of Electric Vehicles (EVs), strengthen the country’s emerging electric mobility ecosystem, and support local vehicle assembly through investor-friendly policies and targeted incentives.
GIPC Chief Executive Officer, Simon Madjie, and Founder and CEO of EV House, Edward T. Hightower, discussed practical measures to enhance collaboration between government and private sector stakeholders in driving sustainable transport solutions.
Mr. Madjie reaffirmed GIPC’s commitment to facilitating investment and creating an enabling environment that supports innovation, industrial growth and Ghana’s climate objectives.
He said the Centre will continue working with relevant stakeholders to attract climate-smart investments and position Ghana as a hub for sustainable mobility in the region.
Mr. Hightower highlighted EV House’s progress since registering with GIPC, noting increased market interest through test drives, stakeholder engagements and awareness campaigns aimed at building public confidence in Electric Vehicles.
The engagement forms part of GIPC’s broader efforts to promote industrial transformation, create jobs and attract investments that contribute to Ghana’s green transition agenda.
GIPC said continued collaboration with companies such as EV House will be key to developing a resilient electric mobility sector and supporting Ghana’s long-term sustainability goals.
