The Parliamentary Select Committee on Health has paid a working visit to the International Maritime Hospital (IMaH) to assess the facility’s healthcare services, infrastructure, and specialist medical capabilities.
The visit enabled members of the committee to tour the hospital’s clinical departments, interact with management and healthcare professionals, and gain firsthand knowledge of the hospital’s operations and its commitment to delivering quality, patient-centred healthcare.
During the engagement, the Chief Executive Officer of IMaH, Dr. Vitus Victor Anaab-Bisi, reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to investing in modern healthcare infrastructure, innovation, and capacity building to improve patient outcomes.
He said the hospital remains focused on enhancing specialist healthcare services and contributing to the advancement of Ghana’s healthcare system through continuous improvements in service delivery.
Dr. Anaab-Bisi also highlighted the importance of partnerships with key stakeholders, noting that such engagements provide an opportunity to share the hospital’s progress and discuss ways of strengthening healthcare delivery in the country.
The Parliamentary Select Committee on Health engaged hospital management in discussions on healthcare delivery and toured various departments to better understand the facility’s operations and the specialist services it offers.
Management of the International Maritime Hospital expressed appreciation to the committee for the visit, describing it as an important step in fostering collaboration between healthcare institutions and policymakers.
The hospital reaffirmed its commitment to working with government and other stakeholders to strengthen specialist healthcare services and improve access to quality medical care for Ghanaians.
