Ghana has made a strong impression at the 23rd Korea Import Expo, with its national pavilion emerging as one of the most vibrant, attractive, and busiest stands at the international exhibition.
The country’s participation, led by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), was widely praised for its organisation and presentation.
GEPA Chief Executive Officer, Francis Kojo Kwarteng Arthur, was commended for ensuring Ghana’s strong visibility at the event.
According to officials, Ghana’s showcase reflected close collaboration between GEPA, the country’s diplomatic mission in Korea, and Ghanaian exporters who used the platform to promote local products and expand international market opportunities.
Ghana’s embassy team led by Ambassador Kojo Choi, also played an active role at the expo, supporting exhibitors and engaging international partners to promote trade and investment opportunities.
One of the highlights of the event was a cultural presentation by stylish Kente Fabrics and Clothing Limited, whose Chief Executive Officer, Kwame Nyame, presented a handcrafted kente vest as a symbol of Ghanaian heritage and appreciation for efforts to promote the country abroad.
The event also featured moments of light-hearted diplomatic engagement, with visiting ambassadors from Panama and Croatia interacting informally at Ghana’s pavilion, reflecting the role of sports and culture in strengthening international relations alongside trade discussions.
Organisers say Ghana’s strong presence at the expo reinforces the country’s growing reputation as a competitive player in global trade exhibitions, particularly in textiles, crafts, and value-added export products.
The participation is expected to open new market opportunities for Ghanaian exporters while strengthening business and diplomatic ties between Ghana and international partners.
