Ghana recorded approximately US$2.61 billion in new investments across 253 projects in 2025, reflecting renewed investor confidence in the country’s economy.
The figure was disclosed by the Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr Johnson Pandit Asiama, at the launch of the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) 2025 Annual Investment Report on Friday, August 22, 2026.
The event, held at the Bank Square in Accra, highlighted Ghana’s progress in restoring macroeconomic stability and creating a more stable environment for businesses and investors.
Delivering the opening remarks, Dr Asiama said the ongoing economic recovery was helping to create a more predictable and stable environment capable of supporting increased investment and business activity.
He noted that investor confidence remained critical to attracting capital, stressing that investors were more likely to commit resources to economies where policies were credible, institutions were dependable and economic conditions were predictable.
“Investment, at its core, follows confidence. Investors seek environments where policies are credible, institutions are dependable, and economic conditions are predictable,” he said.
The Governor said the US$2.61 billion in investments recorded across 253 projects demonstrated sustained interest in Ghana as an investment destination.
He said the development was indicative of growing confidence in the country’s economic prospects as efforts to restore macroeconomic stability continued.
The launch of the GIPA Annual Investment Report provided an opportunity for stakeholders to assess investment trends and Ghana’s performance in attracting both domestic and foreign capital.
The report is expected to serve as an important reference for policymakers, investors and other stakeholders seeking to understand developments in Ghana’s investment landscape and identify opportunities for further growth
