Golden Empire Legacy Ltd (GELL), one of Ghana’s leading licensed gold exporting companies, has announced that its Self-Financed Aggregator Alliances is now fully operational, marking a major breakthrough in the company’s gold trading and sales operations.
The development means the company can now drive its gold aggregation, trading, and export activities without depending on external funding, a move expected to strengthen its market position and improve operational efficiency.
In a statement, the founder of the company and Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Mrs. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, described the achievement as a significant milestone that reflects the dedication, innovation, and collective strength of the company’s team.
She noted that the self-financing structure will allow the company to operate seamlessly while opening doors for even greater growth and long-term success.
“This milestone marks a significant achievement for us, showcasing our dedication, innovation, and the collective strength of our entire team. With this development, we can now operate seamlessly without relying on external funding, paving the way for even greater successes,” she stated.
She extended congratulations to the entire Golden Empire Legacy family, as well as partner banks, investors, and business partners who have contributed to the company’s growth journey.
Under Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s leadership since 2019, Golden Empire Legacy Ltd has grown into one of Ghana’s biggest forces in the gold export sector, attracting over US$400 million in local and foreign investment.
The company has also created thousands of direct and indirect jobs across mining communities while promoting sustainable and ethical mining practices that continue to position Ghana strongly within the global gold trade.
Industry observers say GELL has become a benchmark for responsible mining, wealth creation, and socio-economic transformation in Africa’s extractive sector, with its influence extending beyond mining into refining, logistics, fintech, and community development.
Beyond business success, Joana Gyan Cudjoe has built a reputation for using enterprise as a tool for national development, supporting mining communities through education, healthcare, and youth empowerment initiatives.
Her rise from entrepreneur to Ghana’s first female Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central has further strengthened her influence, making her one of the country’s most prominent women in both business and politics.
