Bishop Abraham Aidoo, the aspiring independent parliamentary candidate for Kpone Katamanso Constituency in the Greater Accra Region has intensified his engagement with residents of Kpone Katamanso, presenting a leadership philosophy centred on service, listening, community participation and practical action.
As part of his door-to-door engagements, Bishop Aidoo has been meeting residents in their homes, businesses, communities and other gathering places to listen to their concerns and discuss their aspirations for the constituency.
According to his message, leadership should begin with service and preparation rather than only after assuming public office.
Speaking in an interview with the media, Mr Aidoo said the engagements are also being used to encourage residents, particularly the youth, to take greater responsibility for the development of their communities while continuing to demand accountability from government and public authorities.
Bishop Aidoo has emphasised that communities do not always have to wait for government before taking action on issues within their capacity.
He has encouraged residents to organise around productive ventures, protect public facilities and participate in initiatives that can improve their communities.
At the same time, he maintains that government has a responsibility to provide essential infrastructure and services, including roads, water systems, schools, healthcare facilities, electricity and drainage.
He believes the development of Kpone Katamanso requires a balance between active citizenship and accountable leadership.

The interactions have provided opportunities for mothers, traders, artisans, young people, community elders and other residents to discuss issues affecting their livelihoods and expectations of future leadership.
