The Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Mr Kwesi Afreh Biney, has paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, as part of activities marking the Homowo festival.
The visit provided an opportunity for Mr Biney to extend warm greetings and best wishes to the Ga State as the people celebrate the annual festival.
The engagement also highlighted the importance of preserving Ghana’s cultural heritage and strengthening relationships between traditional authorities and public institutions.
Mr Biney’s visit forms part of efforts to foster stronger bonds with traditional leadership and communities while recognising the cultural significance of Homowo to the Ga people.
Homowo, one of the most prominent traditional festivals in Ghana, brings together the Ga people to celebrate their heritage, commemorate their history and foster unity among families and communities.
The SSNIT Director-General expressed goodwill to the Ga State and joined in the spirit of the celebration, underscoring the importance of honouring tradition and promoting unity.
The visit ended with a call for continued collaboration and stronger bonds between public institutions and traditional authorities in advancing the well-being of the people.
