The Minister for Defence, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, has represented the Vice President and Chairperson of the Armed Forces Council, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, as Guest of Honour at the 50th Anniversary Joint Graduation Ceremony of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC).
The ceremony brought together senior government officials, members of the Ghana Armed Forces, diplomats and other distinguished guests to mark five decades of professional military education and training at the institution.
Among the dignitaries present was the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, alongside Deputy Minister for Transport Dorcas Affo-Toffey, Ernest Brogya Genfi, Deputy Defence Minister and members of the Military High Command.
The 50th anniversary celebration provided an opportunity to recognise the contribution of GAFCSC to the professional development of military officers and its role in strengthening strategic leadership and command capabilities within the Ghana Armed Forces.
The presence of senior government officials and the Military High Command underscored the importance attached to the institution’s continued contribution to national security and defence preparedness.
As GAFCSC marks its golden jubilee, the institution continues to serve as a key platform for developing the knowledge, leadership skills and strategic thinking required to respond to evolving security challenges in Ghana and beyond.
