The Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, James Agyenim-Boateng, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Mr Agyenim-Boateng made the commitment on Friday, August 14, 2026, when he led a delegation of the company’s Executive Committee and Senior Management on a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of KNUST, Prof Christian Agyare.
The visit provided an opportunity for the SIC Insurance leadership to congratulate Prof. Agyare on his assumption of office and reaffirm the long-standing relationship between the two institutions.
Mr Agyenim-Boateng said the partnership between SIC Insurance and KNUST was anchored on a shared commitment to education, excellence, innovation and national development.
He highlighted SIC Insurance’s support for the SONSOL Project, noting that the company remained committed to supporting education, skills development and initiatives that create opportunities for the next generation.
The Managing Director expressed the company’s interest in deepening its collaboration with KNUST in several areas, including research and innovation, insurance education, student development, entrepreneurship and sustainability.
He also emphasised the importance of strengthening industry-academia partnerships to bridge the gap between academic training and the needs of the corporate world.
Prof. Christian Agyare, for his part, welcomed the delegation and expressed his readiness to work closely with SIC Insurance PLC.
He pledged the University’s commitment to further strengthening the enduring and mutually beneficial relationship between KNUST and the insurance company.
