Ghana and the Republic of Korea have strengthened cooperation in tourism, culture and creative arts through a five-year partnership valued at US$4.5 million.
The partnership is expected to support the development of Ghana’s tourism and creative sectors by promoting heritage preservation, skills development and collaboration between professionals in both countries.
The initiative will provide opportunities for knowledge exchange and capacity building while supporting efforts to preserve Ghana’s cultural heritage and promote the country’s tourism and creative assets.
The partnership is also expected to create new opportunities for stakeholders in the creative arts and tourism industries, including through enhanced technical skills and greater international collaboration.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen Ghana’s international partnerships and attract support for the sustainable development of the tourism, culture and creative sectors.
Appreciation has been expressed to President John Dramani Mahama and the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, for their leadership and efforts towards advancing Ghana’s tourism and creative industries.
The five-year partnership is expected to contribute to the growth of the sectors and strengthen cultural ties between Ghana and South Korea.
