The President of the National Defence University (NDU), Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Felix Adom Asante, has inspected ongoing construction works at the University’s site at Teshie in the Greater Accra Region.
The inspection, held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, formed part of efforts to assess progress on the project and ensure that construction remains on schedule.
AVM Asante and his delegation toured the project site and engaged the project consultant and representatives of the contractor on the progress of work.
He urged the project team to intensify efforts to ensure the facility is completed within the estimated timeframe.
The Chief Consultant of Masuab Consult Limited, Mr Eric Osei Tutu Agyemang, who briefed the delegation, reported that the project was approximately 10 per cent complete.
He assured the NDU President that the project team remained committed to working diligently to meet the agreed timelines despite challenges encountered during construction.
When completed, the NDU is expected to bring existing defence-related colleges under a unified academic framework while providing opportunities for both military personnel and civilians to pursue programmes in security and intelligence.
The inspection was attended by the Director of Corporate Affairs and Public Relations of the NDU, Colonel (Col) Donald Acquah; Director of Research, Col John Kweku Hooper; and a delegation from the Department of Engineering Services.
