A delegation led by Ghanaian actor and comedian Akwasi Boadi, popularly known as Akrobeto, has paid a working visit to the office of the Deputy Minister for Transport and Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, to explore strategic collaboration on road safety initiatives.
The engagement focused on supporting the implementation of the Road Traffic Regulations (Amendment), with emphasis on public education, stakeholder engagement and promoting compliance with road safety regulations across the country.
Discussions centred on the need for increased public awareness of road traffic laws and the importance of encouraging responsible road use among drivers, passengers and other road users.
The collaboration is expected to contribute to government’s broader efforts to reduce road crashes and improve safety on Ghana’s roads through effective sensitisation and community involvement.
The Deputy Minister, in a remark said visit forms part of ongoing engagements between stakeholders and relevant authorities to strengthen partnerships aimed at ensuring better adherence to road regulations and improving road safety outcomes nationwide.
