The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has warned the public about a fraudulent recruitment scheme circulating online, falsely claiming to be a protocol recruitment exercise.
In an official statement dated June 2, 2025, Assistant Commissioner M. Amoako-Atta, Head of Public Affairs, clarified that the website GOLERNERSHUB.COM is falsely advertising a recruitment portal purportedly for the GIS.
The Service firmly distanced itself from these claims, emphasizing that it has not authorized any individual, group, or third-party website to conduct recruitment or sell application forms on its behalf.
GIS further confirmed that no government approval has been granted for any recruitment at this time.
According to them, when genuine recruitment exercises are authorized, they will be announced publicly through official channels such as national newspapers and the GIS’s verified platforms.
The public is strongly advised to ignore and report any communication or offers from GOLERNERSHUB.COM or similar unofficial sources.
According to them, engaging with these fraudulent schemes is at one’s own risk.
“Our Intelligence Section, in collaboration with other state security agencies, is currently pursuing credible leads to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators behind this fraudulent scheme. The public is hereby strongly advised to disregard and report any communication or solicitation from GOLERNERSHUB.COM or similar unofficial sources. Anyone who engages with such fraudulent entities does so at their own risk.”
