The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has held discussions with the technical team of the Strategic Land Administration Reform Project (SLARP) on a comprehensive five-year roadmap aimed at modernising Ghana’s land administration system.
The meeting focused on detailed proposals to transform land services through digital innovation, institutional restructuring, and improved service delivery across the country.
Key components of the reform agenda include the digital transformation of land sector agencies, decentralised land service delivery, systematic land titling, and the expansion of customary land secretariats to improve efficiency and accessibility.
The technical team presented the roadmap as part of broader efforts to streamline land administration processes, reduce delays, and enhance transparency in land transactions.
The Minister endorsed the proposed framework and urged the team to prioritise internal institutional reforms while partnering with experienced technology firms to implement more complex digital interventions.
He emphasised the need for a practical and phased approach to ensure the successful implementation of the reforms and to build a more efficient and modern land administration system.
