The National Service Authority (NSA) has directed all National Service Personnel (NSP) deployed to institutions under the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOSAG) to continue reporting for duty despite the ongoing industrial action by the union.
In a statement signed by Director-General Ruth Dela Seddoh on Thursday, March 11, the NSA clarified that National Service Personnel are not members of CLOSAG and are therefore not covered by the strike action.
The Authority acknowledged that some institutions have experienced operational disruptions due to the industrial action but stressed that NSP are expected to perform their assigned responsibilities without interruption.
Management of the NSA emphasized the importance of maintaining national service obligations and urged all affected personnel to remain committed to their duties.
“The Authority appreciates the cooperation and dedication of all National Service Personnel in contributing to national development,” the statement added.
The directive aims to ensure that essential services in affected institutions continue uninterrupted while union negotiations proceed, reaffirming the Authority’s call for professionalism and dedication from all NSP during the industrial action.
