Tamale High Court has ordered a rerun of the 2024 parliamentary election in the Kpandai constituency within 30 days, citing serious irregularities that affected the integrity of the vote.
Justice Emmanuel Brew Plange presided over the case, which followed a petition by National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate Daniel Nsala Wakpal challenging the December 7, 2024, election results.
The court found discrepancies in 41 of the 152 polling stations, particularly in Form 8A, the official “pink sheets,” concluding that these breaches violated electoral regulations and materially influenced the outcome.
Matthew Nyindam of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had been declared the winner, but the ruling nullifies his victory and calls for a fresh poll.
