Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kpandai have dismissed claims that a party campaign meeting was disrupted by a bee attack, describing the reports as misleading.
The clarification follows reports that one person died in Kpandai on Sunday, December 14, 2025, after a bee swarm incident. The deceased, a community chief’s representative, was riding a motorbike when bees caused panic, resulting in a fatal accident.
Gregory Anijadong, NDC Communication Officer for the constituency, stressed that the incident occurred after the individual had attended a separate community meeting and was not connected to the NDC gathering.
“The NDC meeting was not disrupted by bees, as has been falsely reported,” he said.
The party urged the Ghana Police Service to investigate the accident and make findings public, while advising residents to exercise caution due to reports of bee activity near key public areas, including the district court, police commander’s residence, and a major local resort.
The NDC also extended condolences to the family of the deceased.
