The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, has joined the Chief of Staff, Dr Julius Debrah, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and other government appointees and party stalwarts in Berekum to mourn with the Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), Dr Atta Boateng, following the death of his father.
The delegation was in Berekum to express solidarity with Dr Boateng and the bereaved family as they bid farewell to his late father, Nana Sir Knight Joseph Amponsah Konadu.
The gathering brought together government officials, NDC leaders, traditional figures, family members and sympathisers to honour the memory of the deceased and offer support to the bereaved family.
In expressing his condolences, the Interior Minister described the passing as the loss of a noble voice whose values, influence and contributions would continue to live on through the lives he touched.
Mr Muntaka extended his deepest condolences to Dr Atta Boateng and the entire family, acknowledging the difficulty of losing a loved one.
He prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family as they mourn their loss and urged them to draw solace from the legacy left behind by Nana Sir Knight Joseph Amponsah Konadu.
The presence of the government and party leaders at the funeral underscored their support for Dr Boateng and his family during the period of bereavement.
