Former Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Dr K.B. Tandoh, has paid a courtesy call on former President John Agyekum Kufuor in London, United Kingdom.
The meeting, held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, provided an opportunity for Dr Tandoh to brief the former president on the outcome of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) regional executive elections in the Ahafo Region and across the country’s 16 regions.
Dr Tandoh described the engagement with the former president, whom he considers a political mentor, as a valuable opportunity to draw on his experience and insights into leadership and public service.
He said President Kufuor’s counsel continued to serve as an important source of inspiration as the party moves into a new phase following its regional elections.
Dr Tandoh also reaffirmed his commitment to promoting unity and collaboration within the NPP, particularly in the Ahafo Region.
He said the party’s strength would depend on its ability to bring its various stakeholders together and remain focused on the principles of service, humility and responsible leadership.
The engagement comes as the NPP begins working with its newly elected regional executives to reorganise its structures and strengthen its grassroots base ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Dr Tandoh pledged to continue contributing to efforts aimed at building a united and effective party capable of serving the interests of Ghanaians.
