The flagbearer and leader of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has joined the party’s newly elected national executives and other members for a thanksgiving service in Sunyani following the party’s National Delegates Conference.
The service was held at the F. D. Walker Memorial Temple of The Church of Pentecost, where party members gathered to thank God for the successful organisation of the conference and pray for the party’s leadership.
In a message shared after the event, he said the gathering was an opportunity to seek divine guidance for the newly elected executives as they work to rebuild and strengthen the NPP.
The party is looking to consolidate its internal structures and position itself for victory in the 2028 general elections.
The thanksgiving service forms part of efforts to rally members behind the new leadership and promote unity as the party prepares for the next electoral contest.
The message concluded with a prayer for God’s continued blessings on the NPP.
