Nii Otenkorang Ankrah, an aspiring Deputy Constituency Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Klottey Korle Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, has picked the number one position on the ballot ahead of the party’s October 25 constituency elections.
The ballot position gives Mr Ankrah the first slot on the ballot paper as he seeks to become the constituency’s next Deputy Secretary.
Following the balloting exercise, Mr Ankrah, who is also the Personal Assistant to the Cheif Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Kotey expressed optimism about his chances and rallied support behind his campaign slogan, “I win… You win!”
The NDC constituency elections are expected to determine the party’s leadership at the local level as it prepares to strengthen its structures and mobilise members for future political activities.
