The Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Edmond Kombat, has attended the 2026 Global Event of Endress+Hauser in Basel, Switzerland, where industry leaders gathered to discuss advancements in process automation, digitalization, and energy systems.
Speaking after the event, Mr. Kombat described the engagement as an important opportunity to interact with global experts and explore innovations aimed at improving efficiency in the energy and refining sector.
“I had the honour of attending the 2026 Global Event of Endress+Hauser here in Basel,” he said.

He noted that the forum provided a platform for discussions on emerging technologies and best practices that are essential for strengthening operational resilience in the refining industry.
“The gathering brought together industry leaders and innovators shaping the future of process automation, digitalization, and energy systems,” he added.
“It was an insightful platform to engage on emerging technologies and best practices that are critical to enhancing operational efficiency and resilience in the refining sector.”

Mr. Kombat stressed that such international engagements are key to TOR’s ongoing modernization agenda and efforts to strengthen technical partnerships.
“For Tema Oil Refinery, these global engagements are essential as we continue to pursue modernization, strengthen technical partnerships, and position TOR as a competitive and reliable refinery within the region,” he said.

He expressed appreciation for the opportunity to represent Ghana on the global stage and to gain insights that could support the refinery’s transformation agenda.
