Parliament will officially resume sittings today, Tuesday, October 21, 2025, after an earlier indefinite postponement announced earlier this month.
In a fresh notice from the Speaker’s office, Rt. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin directed that the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament will commence at 2:00 p.m. at Parliament House, Accra.
The Speaker’s latest directive, dated October 8, 2025, supersedes a previous communication issued on October 6, which had deferred the reopening due to unspecified reasons.
Citing Order 58 of Parliament’s Standing Orders, Mr. Bagbin confirmed that the necessary arrangements have been concluded for the House to begin official business today.
The resumption marks the beginning of a crucial parliamentary session expected to address key legislative matters and national issues before the year ends.
