NDC Grassroots Want National Service Authority Boss Sacked Over No Reposting Comments

Silent protests are spreading across the country as grassroots members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) call for the immediate dismissal of the Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), Mr. Felix Gyamfi. The outrage follows his recent statement that there will be no reposting for National Service Personnel after their initial postings.

The comment has triggered a strong backlash, particularly from the NDC’s student wing, the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN), who argue that Mr. Gyamfi’s stance undermines the contributions of student activists who worked tirelessly to support the party’s return to power.

Many party supporters are questioning Mr. Gyamfi’s loyalty and track record within the NDC, alleging that his appointment was politically influenced by General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey and not based on merit or commitment to party ideals.

“Felix Gyamfi must be getting ready to leave the job if he continues on this path,” a furious youth organizer stated. “What role did he play during the 2024 elections? Our party is now rewarding sycophants, and that’s why he has the boldness to make such a tone-deaf statement.”

The protest has gained momentum both online and in person. Former TEIN National Coordinator, Gombilla Sadiq Mohammed, posted a passionate message on Facebook expressing his displeasure and his intent to ensure that TEIN members get the reposting they believe they deserve.

“I’ve been at the NSA secretariat since dawn. Reposting is a right for TEIN graduates—they’ve paid their dues. I’m not leaving until every single TEIN member is reposted to a place that supports their career and personal growth,” he wrote.

Student leaders and youth activists have joined the call for Mr. Gyamfi’s removal, warning that his actions could damage the party’s reputation among young voters and student supporters ahead of the 2028 elections.

Bright Kekeli, a final-year student of the University of Professional Studies and a proud TEIN member, didn’t mince words in his demand.

“I propose that the National Service Authority boss be sacked immediately. He’s completely disconnected from the reality on the ground. Many of us made serious sacrifices for this party in 2024. He is a threat to our victory in 2028,” he said.
