As part of efforts to strengthen the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2024 general election, Alex Kwaku Asafo Agyei, the former Deputy Communications Officer for the Ashanti Region, has donated key campaign logistics to the party’s parliamentary candidate and executives in the Mampong Constituency.
The donation, which took place at the constituency office, included posters and T-shirts aimed at boosting campaign activities as the election approaches. Asafo Agyei highlighted the critical role of logistics in mobilization and voter outreach during election campaigns.
Speaking at the event, Asafo Agyei expressed his personal connection to the Mampong Constituency, stating, “Mampong is my home, and it is essential that I contribute to our campaign efforts here. I understand the importance of logistics in driving successful campaigns, and I hope this gesture goes a long way toward ensuring our victory.”
He further encouraged party members and executives to work together, putting aside internal differences, in order to secure victory against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in both the parliamentary and presidential elections. Asafo Agyei acknowledged the NPP’s strong presence in the Ashanti Region but emphasized that unity and hard work could make a significant impact.
“We all know that the Ashanti Region, and Mampong in particular, has historically been a stronghold for the NPP. However, with unity and determination, we can change the narrative and achieve better results at both the presidential and parliamentary levels,” he urged.
In response, the Mampong Constituency Chairman , Kamel Muhammed expressed gratitude for the donation, describing it as a timely boost to their campaign efforts. He assured Asafo Agyei that the constituency executives and members would work diligently to secure the necessary votes for an NDC victory in 2024.
