Former President and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama is calling on Ghanaians to change the current government for the poor performance in managing the economy, their corrupt nature in amassing the wealth of the nation, and the arrogant posture in which they have treated Ghanaians.
The Flagbearer of the NDC has presented himself as the most desirable leader with more experience amongst the rest; his vision which is grounded in sustainable development will focus on industrialisation. This will create jobs for all and give the people of Ghana equal opportunities which will encourage all to contribute towards nation building.
Back in 2022, Mr. Mahama addressed the nation and submitted to the government that the country was at a crossroad and needed urgent action, ‘Unfortunately, the government refused to listen to that altruistic conversation and the raft of viable and innovative policy proposals offered’.
His Excellency during a media engagement recently in Accra outlined his plans to the media on his agenda and how he is poised, and with the creativity of Ghanaians, that Ghana can turn the tide against the economic abyss the New Patriotic Party has pushed Ghana into.
John Dramani Mahama mentioned that “After almost eight years under the deplorable leadership of the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia administration, we have seen our country sink into a serious economic abyss. The current economic mess sums up the verdict on this NPP government.
“The unprecedented levels of poverty, unemployment, deterioration in livelihoods, and social inequity have exposed the dubious strategy of hiding incompetence under slogans. It confirms without hesitation that the disruptive and hasty experimentation with the lives of the Ghanaian people was underpinned by naïve exuberance, arrogance, and selfishness” former President John Dramani Mahama added.
The tag of ‘arrogance’ the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has created for itself seems not to leave anytime soon. This was even evident at the recent unveiling of the running mate of the NPP in Kumasi.
Otumfuo cautioned Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh to be mindful of the ‘arrogant’ tag around his neck and it did not take long for him to clearly exhibit his arrogance in front of party faithful with his ‘unchecked confidence’ while he made some unwarranted comments disregarding the sacrifices of Ghana’s Founding Father, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
