Hon. Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, former Director of election for NDC embarked on a significant visit to various registration centers in the heart of the Ashanti Region to monitor the ongoing limited registration exercise.

Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) commenced the ongoing registration exercise for new voters, specifically targeting those who had recently turned 18.

The former Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) took it upon himself to monitor the process in the region and offer support.

On the 19th of March, 2024, Hon. Afriyie-Ankrah traversed through several centers including Manhyia North, Manhyia South, Subin, Nhyiaeso, and Bantama.

During his visit, he engaged with new voters and extended his appreciation to the diligent NDC Agents who were actively assisting with the registration procedures. He emphasized the importance of ensuring a smooth and transparent process, encouraging all party agents to be vigilant.

Hon. Afriyie-Ankrah reiterated that the electoral process is a crucial journey and highlighted the significance of voter registration as an initial foundational step that should not be taken lightly. Stressing that having a credible voter register is vital for the upcoming elections, he expressed his confidence in the NDC securing a landslide victory in 2024.

As a gesture of motivation and support, he generously donated an undisclosed amount to the party executives of the various constituencies he visited, showing his commitment to the cause and his belief in the NDC’s potential success in the upcoming elections.
