The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced structured online and off-campus learning periods for students in transitional Senior High Schools and Senior High Technical Schools as part of the 2025/2026 academic year.
According to GES management, Form One and Form Two students in transitional schools will spend specific periods of the academic year learning online or off campus, while alternating with in-person instruction.
The arrangement, GES said, is aimed at ensuring academic continuity while addressing space constraints in transition schools.
To support effective learning during the off-campus periods, the GES said students will have free access to approved digital curriculum resources, alongside daily lessons broadcast on the Ministry of Education’s television channel.
The Service urged parents and students to take the online learning component seriously and ensure learners actively participate in scheduled lessons from home.
School authorities have also been directed to provide guidance and supervision to support students during the off-campus phase.
GES assured stakeholders that the online learning arrangement forms part of broader efforts to strengthen blended learning and maintain quality education delivery across second-cycle institutions.
