The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has officially clarified that Mrs. Elsie Appau-Klu has been appointed as a Technical Advisor, not a Deputy Commissioner as widely speculated on social media.
In a circular dated May 21, 2025, signed by the Acting Commissioner-General, Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, the GRA emphasized that the presentation of Mrs. Appau-Klu as a Deputy Commissioner is inaccurate and has been addressed by Management.
She is one of five newly appointed Technical Advisors approved by the GRA Governing Board, alongside Samson Tangombu Chiragia, Lucy Yamson, Kenneth Agyai-Duah, and Ebenezer Ayiwor.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the integrity of its organizational structure and ensuring transparent career progression for its officers.
