The campaign team of NPP presidential aspirant Dr. Bryan Acheampong has moved swiftly to address misleading messages circulating among delegates during today’s party primaries.
In a statement ahead of the polls, the team stressed that Dr. Acheampong has not sent any SMS or communication offering money, gifts, or incentives to sway delegates.
Supporters were advised to ignore such misinformation and focus on the voting process.
“These messages are entirely false,” the campaign said, underlining its commitment to integrity, transparency, and fairness throughout the primary.
Delegates were urged to rely solely on verified updates from Dr. Acheampong’s official campaign channels.
The statement reaffirmed that the campaign continues to prioritize unity and honesty, ensuring that the selection of the party’s 2028 flagbearer proceeds smoothly.
About 211,000 delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are expected to cast their ballots today as the party goes to the polls to elect its flagbearer for the 2028 presidential elections.
Voting is taking place at more than 300 polling centres nationwide, in what the party has described as a critical internal democratic exercise aimed at repositioning the NPP ahead of the next general elections.
Five high-profile aspirants are contesting the race. They are Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Kwabena Agyepong.
