The Ghana Police Service has announced the arrest of 56 individuals in a series of intelligence-led operations across multiple towns in the Western North Region.
The operations, carried out as part of the “Christmas Special” initiative, targeted suspected criminals involved in illegal activities across Sefwi-Bodi, Asawinsuo, Dadieso, Juaboso, Akontombra, Sefwi-Debiso, Enchi, Sefwi-Bekwai, Donyina, and Bidiem.

According to a post by the Ghana Police Service on X on Tuesday, December 23, the arrests are part of ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and maintain law and order during the festive season.
The police emphasized that the intelligence-led operations aim to dismantle criminal hideouts, curb illegal activities, and ensure a safe environment for residents and travelers during the Christmas holidays.
