The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has revoked the license of Evanex Gold Enterprise, a Tier 2 licensed gold buyer, following findings that the company violated regulations through illegal gold pricing.

In a statement issued on Thursday, August 28, the regulator instructed all licensed traders, miners, and members of the public to immediately cease any gold transactions with Evanex Gold Enterprise.

The suspension is part of GoldBod’s ongoing efforts to maintain integrity, transparency, and accountability within Ghana’s gold sector.

The regulator emphasized that serious breaches like this will not be tolerated and warned that similar violations by other operators would attract prompt sanctions.

GoldBod reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing industry standards and ensuring a fair and well-regulated gold trading environment across the country.

The Compliance Notice, signed by the Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Gyamfi, states:

“The Ghana Gold Board (“GoldBod”) wishes to inform the general public that it has suspended the license of “Evanex Gold Enterprise”, a licensed gold buyer (Tier 2), with immediate effect. This action follows an adverse investigative finding of illegal gold pricing made against the company by the GoldBod, contrary to the terms and conditions of the license of the company.

Notice is hereby given to all licensed traders, miners and the general public to desist from trading and/or engaging in any form of gold transaction with Evanex Gold Enterprise forthwith.GoldBod remains committed to enforcing the laws and regulations that govern the gold trading sector in the spirit of accountability and transparency.”

This move signals GoldBod’s determination to clean up the gold trading sector and protect both investors and consumers from illegal practices.
