The Managing Director of the Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC), Dr. Wisdom Kofi Dogbey, is in London leading a series of high-level engagements aimed at reinforcing Ghana’s position in the global cocoa industry.
Dr. Dogbey is attending the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Council Meeting of the Federation of Cocoa Commerce (FCC), a crucial gathering that brings together major stakeholders to deliberate on the future of the cocoa trade. His participation signals Ghana’s commitment to maintaining a strong voice in international cocoa affairs and shaping policies that impact producers and markets alike.
In addition to the FCC meetings, the MD is also taking part in a board meeting of CMC UK, the international subsidiary of the Cocoa Marketing Company. This subsidiary plays a critical role in facilitating Ghana’s cocoa exports and strengthening trade relations with key markets in Europe and beyond. The meeting focused on aligning operational strategies with current global market demands and enhancing CMC’s competitive edge.

As part of his official visit, Dr. Dogbey has also held a series of strategic engagements with cocoa bean buyers and key industry stakeholders in the UK. These meetings have focused on deepening relationships, exploring new business opportunities, and reaffirming CMC’s dedication to excellence, quality, and sustainability in the cocoa value chain.
“Our goal is to build partnerships that are mutually beneficial and focused on sustainability,” Dr. Dogbey remarked during one of the engagements. “We are not just here to transact; we are here to foster long-term collaboration built on trust and shared values.”
These international engagements come at a critical time, as global cocoa markets continue to evolve and consumer expectations increasingly focus on ethical sourcing and environmental sustainability. Dr. Dogbey’s outreach reflects a strategic approach to ensure that CMC remains responsive, innovative, and forward-looking in a highly competitive landscape.
