Scores of supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Facebook are urging young party members to rally behind Okai Mintah, the aspiring National Youth Organizer of the NDC describing him as a candidate with the experience and understanding needed to lead the party’s youth wing.
In a message circulating among party supporters , Okai Mintah was presented as a preferred choice for the position of Commander of the NDC Youth Wing, popularly associated with the party’s “Green Army.”
The supporters encouraged the youth to follow a leader who understands the party’s political journey and organisational structures, using the phrase “follow who know road” to emphasise the importance of experience and direction in leadership.
They expressed confidence in Mintah’s ability to lead the youth wing to the 2028 general election and contribute to the party’s second term in office
The appeal comes amid efforts by supporters to mobilise young members around their preferred candidates for leadership positions within the NDC.
