The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has held a strategic policy dialogue with the IMANI Centre for Policy and Education to discuss developments, policy implementation and the government’s vision for Ghana’s energy sector.
The engagement provided an opportunity for both sides to have what the minister described as a frank and constructive discussion on progress made and policies implemented across the country’s power, petroleum and renewable energy sectors.
Dr Jinapor said engagements of this nature were important to strengthening accountability, refining policy decisions and ensuring that government interventions respond effectively to the needs of the energy sector.
He emphasised the importance of continued dialogue between government and policy institutions in shaping policies that support a more resilient, efficient and sustainable energy system.
The discussions focused on the government’s broader vision for the energy sector, including efforts to improve performance and promote sustainability across its key areas.
The meeting forms part of ongoing engagement with stakeholders to support policy development and strengthen accountability in Ghana’s energy sector.
Dr Jinapor reiterated the importance of constructive engagement in advancing policies that will help build a reliable and sustainable energy future for the country.
